I had oatie on sunday........... The beginning of the lesson was spoiled by a large group of IGNORANT people ............... I was walking oatie up the heath track toward paradise and there was this golden retriever off leash and running around barking at the horses !!! oatie stopped...... her ears all pricked..... and she was snorting a bit , i CERTAINLY DIDN:T want her to spook !!!! they didn;t even bother to put the damn dog on a lead !!! could have scared songlka who was in the lesson as well !!! it was SCARY . That;s NOT all, later we were walking round to warm up in the arena and MORE people came with MORE dogs offleash !!! what;s more ( here;s the kicker ) a dog even wandered into the arena where we riding in !!!!!!!!! Could having f***ing scared the shit out of the horses ! and caused mayhem!!! So damn inconsiderate !!! dogs aren;t even allowed off-leash at btsc!! and they were not even members ! i'm surprised sandra didn;t give them a good shelling for that........ i would have...... then again they ARE ignorant........ but that;s NO excuse for endangering rider's lives !!!
Others can streaming across the pathway and some stopped and stared at us for a while before walking off, after 15 minutes they were all gone .
Sandra put two poles parellelly down the centreline, we had to trot, and then canter on a chosen lead by the time we exited the small tunnel she had create with the poles. Oatie was good, she ACTUALLY did canter on a straightline SOME of the time ! i was quite happy. Then we did walk to canter, only directly got it once, the rest it was like Walk-two strides of trot-canter
