Heyy sorry for the absence......... jus haven;t felt like bloggin much, spilling my guts out for the world to see,it's a bit like putting your whole self on display for the everyone. Depends on what you blog about i guess, and how as well.
Anyone sooo saaaddd the bangkok trip is over !!! it seemed not long ago we were counting down the days to go and now........ * sighs * oh well that;s life, we never now how quickly it;ll past before you know it you'll be on your deathbed..... ok that was really morbid but it's true.
Ok so how did horses move to death ? enough of that stuff about talking about death it;s a little depressing.
Ok something else, last night i was watching The life of David Gale with my dad, it was about an advocate for anti-capital punishment who ened up on deathrow for rape and murder, the story was about a journalist who was going to write an article about him.
she felt he was guilty at the start but as the story unfolds she throws herself emotionally into what happens in the next four days slowly discovering what REALLY happened. See the guy David;s life was practically falling apart before he even was sent to deathrow. He was falsely accused of rape from one of my students who threw herself onto him then accused him of rape, that cost him his job , his wife also left him and sold the house, there for he became distrusted by many and jobless and homeless, and lost custody of his only son. His friend and colleaugue and also fellow deathwatch member ( the anti-death penalty organisation they both headed ) called constance took him in , she was him good friend.
she was the one found raped and murdered. A video tape was found of her murder, by suffocation. Well the smart journalist managed to uncover the HUGE twist and secret ! ( better than the village ) that * spoiler alert * constance had actually staged her own death, ( she was dying of leukemia actually ) and taped the whole thing with help of yet another member who was following the journalist bitsey when she was investigating the case. She also had david's semen in her as she had consensual sex with him earlier, therefore making it look like a rape. David; fingerprints were on the bag that used to suffocate herself with, he had actually placed his own fingerprints on it purposely ( this you see in a video scene at the end of the film ) So she and david had done intentionally to prove a point that non-guilty " criminals" do get exucuted, there were even willing to sacrifice themselves to the cause, the cause and saving others was more than their lives were worth. Quoting the film " what;s one murder if it saves thousands ?" the video tape constance staging her death was then realised after david's execution.
Quoting my dad " That is something singaporeans would never undertand " sacrifing your life for a cause which you think is greater than your own life, that is something truly great, martyrs.
