I rode patch yesterday.... the only problems i face with her are
a) She;s a little small for me
b) She's a terror first 5 minutes
So got on her, walked her forward and then when i try to turn her around a bit she starts bucking ( typical )Dawn rode oatie and the other 3 people for some reason didn;t turn up........
So it was like a semi-private, just 2 riders.We gotup to the arena, warmed up in trot and canter and then practiced the prelim 1.3 test. i sort of remembered some of it but sandra halped me remember it. So the first time i did it it was quite ok, and i did manage to get her on the bit !!! so nicely rounded !!! that is after the first canter and she kept it that way for a while, then her head came up again. Then i went to do it again, this time i managed to keep her sooo well rounded after the first canter again, until the end of the test ! sandra said it was the best she had seen me ride her ( i didn;t say anything about a 73% i had scored with her last yr )
Then got her showered myself and hand grazed for a while before sending her back to the stable. Nat came, so the 3 of us hung around for a while.
