Last night was Fuuun........ i didn;t really expect it to be that interesting but it was.
Went for the annual tower club dinner with my grandparents, i wore a white , floral-print top with a golden-orange tube top inside and white skirt, the same thing i wore the neighbours son's wedding a few weeks ago. We didn;t dine on the usual floor, we also noticed that there were a lot of people loitering around, turns out Lee Kuan yew and his ENTIRE family including the prime minister were having dinner there ! So we were ushered into a small glass panelled lift to take us to the bar floor by this Photographer guy ( if you ask me he looked kinda hot and cute and the same time) The bar floor had a jazzy feel about it, the walls were all brownish and boxes of big cuban cigars were in enclosed in glass cabinets. We sat at a table at the end of the room , the first dish usually the one with the vegetable and raw fish wish needs to be tossed was different this year. If you ask me it tasted a lot nicer than last year, everyone gave me their raw fish.
Usually a highlight of the tower club dinner for me and my sister is to use the bathrooms there !! it is like the HIGHEST CLASS toilet i;ve seen ! ( ok maybe it pales slightly in comparison to the one at the fullerton ) they have sinks in the toilet cubicles !! monogramed towels and mouthwash ! last yr my sis dared me to use the mouthwash ! two words " never again " it's too disgusting ! even a mint-lover like me has her limits !
So this year i dared pamela to do it ! anyway the toilet on the bar level was less grand and didn not have sinks in the stalls. But it still had monogramed towels and mouthwash. Ha ! pam couldn;t STAND the mouthwash !!!
When we came back we decided to take photos of each other on the couches nearby, i have a real problem with flash and the place was quite dimly lit so we had to use this special feature which allows you to take photos in dimly lit areas without flash but you have to hold the camera for 12 seconds. I;ll upload the photos by tmr evening promise. There was one which someone said made me look like a seductress or something but it got deleted.
After dinner we went back to the same floor that we had to take the lift from and saw a bunch of people in the lounge area ! a man in a bright red top was walking around i peered more closely, eek ! it was the prime minister !! So we quickly took the lift back down to the first floor so as to avoid the HUGE entourage that would follow later ! we went down, wow there were at least 3 cars in the porch area with up to 5 or 6 secret service agents walking around, we HOPED the valet would drive faster to get us the car before the entourage came down. In the end we were in the car when we saw LKY and his wife get into his car. My parents commented on how frail Mrs lee looked.
We decided to take a walk along clarke quay, at first i wasn;t that keen but it turned out to be bettet than i thought. We parked near the nightclub Ministry of Sound it wasn;t like super packed. There wasn;t even very long line to get in. ( from october 2007 it'll be legal for me ) There was soo much life and energy walking along clarke quay !! plenty of pubs and bars were open i should definetely come here someday with my friends. We went to watch people on the G-force bungee ! it looke QUITE scary !!! i think i would go on for a dare or if someone paid me a large sum of money ! Later me and father walked ahead, my sister and mum and grandparents then caught up. The monkeys had been reading dirty jokes of a screen at the crazy elephant bar ! imagine YOUR GRANDPARENTS ENJOY DIRTY JOKES !!!!!!!!!!!!! aparently they got it faster than my mum did ! lol that tells you a lot.... Want me to elaborate on somke jokes mentioned ? thought not ok moving on !
We finally reached home at like midnight i was so dead tired i just went up to my room , changed and collapsed on the bed.
