Racism in Singapore, do we talk about it ? or do we even want to talk about it ?
It still exists in tiny pockets, snippets of conversation, even well-meaning-would-never-hurt-a-fly people are racist. Don;t disagree that people aren't racist

while it is easy to simply gloss over the, often-thought factor that Singapore is very racially friendly, it's is not. It may seem that way on the surface but That are small cracks. They may be small and still rather undectable but still prominent and could well someday blow up into something bigger or disastrous. I myself am not racist, I don’t judge people by their skin colour, however there are people around me who do. I have no qualms about dating a person of another race, I have done so in the past. However I would have objections if it were a different religion such as Islam or Hindiusm as I am a catholic but only if these relationships became very deep and serious.
I think that people should be more tolerant of other people’s races and religions. Before critizicing people of another race we should stop and think, would we like the same thing to be done to us ? How would a Christian like it if a non-christian blasphemed or laughed or made fun of his or her faith ? If so, who are we to question or laugh at others’ beliefs ? It is all just due to a lack of understanding and respect for others. So before you decide to crack another stupid racist joke, stop and think would you like people to make fun of and ridicule your skin colour or faith ?
